Esta es mi historia...........

Desde que era una niña me di cuenta que lo mío, lo mío, lo mío,  era la comunicación. 

​

Recuerdo que en las fiestas de la familia era la organizadora del show, coordinaba muy bien a todos mis primos y hermanos para entretener a nuestros padres, tíos, abuelos con una presentación, con una obra de teatro o con cantar una canción. 

​

También me gustaba grabar mis programas de radio cuando aun se usaba grabadora de cassette, play-rec apretaba y a hablar. ¿Mis entrevistados? ¡Mis hermanos o mis padres!

​

​Siempre he creído en Dios y cuando tenía 10 años, me gustaba leer La Biblia infantil que me había regalado mi madre, grababa lo que leía en esa inseparable pequeña grabadora de color blanco con rosa de estilo noventero.

​

​Desde los 13 años empecé a escribir mi diario, en ese tiempo descubrí mi gusto por la escritura, hoy tengo cientos de cuadernos con todo, literalmente todo lo que hice diariamente desde esa edad y hasta los 23. Hoy, he retomado esa costumbre. 

​

​Crecí, me llamaron la atención otras cosas, tomar clases de piano, actuación de teatro, baile, modelaje y ¡hasta bailarina de circo me convertí! Era el hermanos Vazquez. Como ven siempre fui soñadora y aventurera. 

​

​La economía de mis padres no era la más óptima, pero mis deseos por cumplir mis sueños sí, así que a los 16 años me independicé, a la edad en la que un adolescente quiere ser como sus amigos o quiere comprar lo que la moda le acomoda. Empecé a trabajar en un restaurante y no cualquiera, en este las propinas eran muy buenas, tan buenas que con eso pude acceder a la preparatoria que yo quería, los cursos que yo quería y todo lo que yo quería, el sueño de todo teenager.

​

​Luego, el ser edecán, animadora y gio de marcas de licores, ropa, autos y demás, suplió el de ser hostess de comensales en la avenida Insurgentes. Lo hice por varios años, fue divertido, por pocas horas ganaba bien y con eso salió para la Universidad. 

​

​Graduada y titulada como Licenciada en Ciencias y Técnicas de la Comunicación, comencé mi camino profesional. Primero haciendo prácticas en el periódico La Crónica de Hoy ubicada en la colonia Juarez de la Ciudad de México, luego en una de las televisoras más importantes de México, Tv Azteca, en el año 2006. 

​

​Me impresiona como son las relaciones públicas. Yo ingresé a un área que nada que ver con lo mío, pero un día en el comedor de la empresa me encontré a quien había sido mi jefe en el periódico, el cubano Ruben Satres, quien ahora trabajaba ahí. 

​

​Inmediatamente pidió que me cambiaran al área de noticias, inicié haciendo prácticas con Daniel Sangeado, jefe de la sección de política y luego, el cubano me presentó al famoso periodista Pablo Latapí, quien inmediatamente me contrató y con el que trabajé en sus proyectos en tele y también en radio como reportera y asistente. 

​

​Así comenzó mi camino de más de diez años de relación con la televisora de nombre emblemático. Recuerdo que me mudé de inmediato a la Ciudad de México, yo vivía en las afueras, en un fraccionamiento con una hermosa hacienda llamado Ojo de Agua, ubicado en el kilómetro 31 de la carretera México-Pachuca, en el Estado de México.

​

Y es que ya tenía la edad y el suficiente ingreso para por lo menos rentar una habitación en la ciudad, ya que desde siempre, mi rutina siempre fue hacer dos horas de trayecto a donde sea. Autobús, metro, autobús.  

​

​Primero viví en un departamento en la colonia Condesa en donde rentaban habitación para mujeres. Wooow ¡yo me sentía soñada de vivir en La Condesa! ¡Así fuera en un cuarto cuatro por cuatro! Después, me mudé al Ajusco con unos increíbles roomates que hoy son entrañables amigos y luego al Pedregal con una famosa conductora de televisión que hoy es como mi hermana. 

​

​Bueno, ya me desvié, regresemos. Pablo fue un tipazo como jefe, pero los proyectos como suelen ser en el medio, terminaron. Buscando encontré un lugar en la sección de espectáculos, jamás imaginé que ahí iniciaría una de las etapas más importantes de mi vida. No solo por el crecimiento profesional que tuve, sino también por los grandes amigos que hice y las hermosas experiencias que vivimos juntos, imagínense ¡éramos todos unos veinteañeros ilusionados! 

​

​Inicié de asistente de producción, pero como soy muy proactiva o más bien dicho metiche, en pocos meses empecé a ser responsable de relaciones públicas, creativa de ventas, reportera, locutora, hasta convertirme en unos años más en gerente de información y periodista de investigación. 

​

​Participé en varias producciones y muchos pilotos. Hitm3, Los 25 mas, Vidas al Límite, Hechos Espectáculos, La Academia 7, programas especiales como los de Navidad, Año Nuevo y demás. Tuve la fortuna de colaborarle y aprenderle a excelentes profesionales de la televisión, mi primer jefe Toño Hermida, luego Laura Suárez, Rosario Murrieta, Chucho Cisneros, Rene Caballero, Alexis Lippert, el estudio es dirigido por la reconocida periodista Paty Chapoy. 

​

​Siempre fue uno de mis sueños hacer una maestría en Europa y por supuesto conocer el viejo continente, pero los pesos que ganaba no me lo permitían, hacer lo que amaba no era suficiente, hasta que un día finalizando el año 2010, luego de vivir ciertas experiencias que marcaron mi vida, como un accidente en el que casi la pierdo o la muerte de un ser tan amado, mi abuela, decidí aplicar incansablemente por una beca. ¡Lo logré! No cabe duda de que si uno lo cree y lo busca, ¡lo encuentra!

​

​Me fui a vivir mi sueño a Madrid, España, a finales del año 2011. Master en Periodismo Audiovisual. No fue fácil, si que me arriesgué, pues prácticamente solo llevaba dinero para sobrevivir los primeros dos meses, sin duda ¡fue una de las mejores experiencias de mi vida! 

​El ubicar a tu ser en un estado así es lo máximo, porque te das cuenta que puedes lograr acciones o actitudes que jamás habías imaginado. ¡Amé vivir con unos cuantos euros al día! 

​

​Pero aun así, como Dios siempre me cuida, viví en un gran barrio, el de Salamanca, el mejor de la ciudad y conocí lo que quise, no se cómo, pero lo hice. Trabajé haciendo de todo, de azafata (así le dicen a las edecanes en España) de PR en una discoteca, de niñera, hasta que la mayor parte la pasé de mesera y en la cocina, en un bar mexicano en el barrio la Latina llamado, La Morena. 

​

​A través de un estafador (luego les cuento la historia) conocí al famoso corresponsal de guerra de Televisa, Alberto Peláez, e hice prácticas ahí. ¡Aprendí mucho!

​

También, por mi maestría,  hice prácticas en la televisora Telemadrid, en la sección de cultura. Las coberturas eran desde ir a hacer una nota de un restaurante de tapas, hasta ir a entrevistar a los cantantes Juanes o Justin Bieber.

 

Y como les digo que soy medio metiche, hice corresponsalía en Azteca, para los programas Ventaneando o Historias Engarzadas desde Madrid-Barcelona. Recuerdo una gran experiencia que después les cuento a detalle, cuando cubrí el nacimiento del hijo de la cantante Shakira. Suena fácil y superficial, pero eso fue un gran reto para mi, lo que solo se ve en pantalla no tiene nada que ver ¡con lo que por detrás se está  jugando!

​

​Volví a México, era el año 2013, regresé a Tv Azteca, entré al programa Los del 7, lo producían Ximena Wilkins y Aldo Lazcano. Desafortunadamente, salió del aire pronto y lo único que pensé fue irme a vivir otro sueño ¿por qué no? pues el regresar de Madrid me dio mucha energía para hacer todo lo que yo quisiera sin pensarlo tanto. Así que decidí cumplir otro deseo que yo tenía también, el ir a estudiar inglés a Estados Unidos, mejorar mi curriculum y vivir ahí por un tiempo. Dios me dio más de lo que pensé, definitivamente.  

​

​Mi camino en la ciudad de Houston, Texas, inició en enero del 2014. Lo único que llevaba en mi bolsillo era el pago de un programa especial que había hecho para Laura en un programa especial de Jenny Rivera, la fallecida cantante. Viví en casa de mi tía, sin auto, sin nada, aquí es muy indispensable, pero ellos me apoyaron en todo, los amo con todo mi corazón. 

​

​A las dos semanas entré a una televisora pequeña llamada Optima Televisión. Hice de todo, producir, escribir, conducir. Era un lío, pero aprendí muchísimo y me divertí también. Siempre estaré agradecida con Marlen Sarres. Sé que encontrar trabajo en Estado Unidos, haciendo lo que amas y de manera formal, no es fácil. Señal de que iba por buen camino.

​

​Después, el proyecto terminó, antes de regresar a México, quise buscar otra oportunidad, el año pasó muy rápido y ¡aun no hablaba inglés como yo quería! Encontré NuCerity. Empresa en la que si bien, me hizo alejarme de los medios de comunicación tiempo completo, me dio grandes lecciones y me hizo crecer como la espuma profesionalmente. 

​

Dirigía la comunicación y el marketing en español. Es una empresa comandada por empresarios americanos con presencia en 17 países así que el reto, me interesó. 

Si bien mi idioma no era el mejor aun, no permití que eso fuera una barrera para realizar ese proyecto en el cual era toda una primeriza. 

​

​Imagínense, toda la vida trabajando en medios y ahora en un corporativo. Pero nunca hay que cerrarnos y siempre hay que estar abiertos a aprender nuevas cosas, aunque eso parezca desviarnos un poco de lo que estábamos acostumbrados.

​

Fueron dos años y medio de viajes por todo México, conferencias en Estados Unidos, convivir con los distribuidores de la marca, organizar eventos, conferencias, producir videos, hablar en público, pues es una empresa de red de mercadeo, hacer redes sociales, traducciones, crear conceptos de comunicación, en verdad ¡aprendí muchísimo! 

​

​Me llevé grandes lecciones de mis jefes, David Bain y Melissa Chambers, de los fundadores Lonney McKinney y David Dillingham y de mis compañeros, todos me enseñaron algo, todos. 

​

​Sobre los medios, en mis tiempos participé en programas de radio, tele; hice locución, conducción, corresponsalía para Tv Azteca, ahora desde Houston, para el programa Al Extremo de mi gran amiga Vero Palomares, recientemente para deportes con mi amiga Paola Osorio. También, colaboré en un video blog llamado Somos Mexicanos por el Mundo en donde compartí mis experiencias desde la Ciudad Espacial.

​

​Me encargué desués de las relaciones públicas, redes sociales y más en Exatec Houston (Asociación de Ex Alumnos del ITESM Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey)  y Bufete Internacional.

 

En el año 2020 regresé a México y trabajé en Tv Azteca en el programa Al Extremo en donde cumplí mi sueño de hacer periodismo de televisión y presentando mis historias en vivo a nivel nacional. Realicé entrevistas a personalidades que realizan alguna actividad impactante, única o insólita en el rubro del entretenimiento, los deportes, la política o los espectáculos a nivel nacional e internacional. Además hice coberturas de importancia e interés mediático para su inmediata difusión o de ayuda a la comunidad.  

 

Posteriormente, me mudé a Alemania durante un año para estudiar el idioma hasta llegar al nivel C1.  Actualmente,  busco  nuevos retos profesionales en donde pueda seguir haciendo lo que me convierte en la mujer más feliz, la comunicación.

This is my story...

​

Ever since I was a little girl, I knew that communication was my thing.

​

I remember that at family parties, I was the show organizer. I coordinated all my cousins and siblings to entertain our parents, uncles, and grandparents with a performance, a play, or a song.

​

I also loved recording my own radio shows back when cassette recorders were still a thing. I'd press play-rec and start talking. My guests? My siblings or my parents!

I’ve always believed in God, and when I was 10 years old, I loved reading the children’s Bible that my mother gave me. I would record what I read on that small white and pink ‘90s-style recorder I never let go of.

​

When I turned 13, I started keeping a diary. That’s when I discovered my love for writing. Today, I have hundreds of notebooks with literally everything I did every single day from that age until I was 23. Now, I’ve gone back to that habit.

​

I grew up and became interested in other things—taking piano classes, theater, dance, modeling... I even became a circus dancer! It was with Hermanos Vázquez. As you can see, I’ve always been a dreamer and an adventurer.

​

My parents didn’t have the best financial situation, but my desire to follow my dreams was strong. So, at 16, I became independent—an age when teens want to be like their friends or buy into the latest trends. I started working at a restaurant—and not just any restaurant—the tips were so good that I was able to pay for the high school I wanted, the courses I wanted, everything I wanted. The dream of any teenager.

​

Then I started working as a brand promoter, host, and event model for liquor brands, clothing, cars, and more. That replaced my hostess job on Insurgentes Avenue. I did it for years—it was fun, paid well for just a few hours, and it funded my university.

​

I graduated with a degree in Communication Sciences and Techniques and started my professional path. First, I interned at La Crónica de Hoy newspaper in the Juárez neighborhood of Mexico City, then at one of the biggest TV networks in Mexico—TV Azteca—in 2006.

​

What impresses me most about public relations is how connections work. I joined an area that had nothing to do with my field, but one day in the company cafeteria, I ran into my former boss from the newspaper—Ruben Satres, a Cuban journalist who now worked there.

​

He immediately requested my transfer to the news department. I started interning with Daniel Sangeado, head of the politics section. Later, Ruben introduced me to the famous journalist Pablo Latapí, who hired me on the spot. I worked on his TV and radio projects as a reporter and assistant.

​

And that’s how my more than 10-year journey with this iconic network began. I remember I immediately moved to Mexico City from the outskirts, from a subdivision with a beautiful hacienda called Ojo de Agua, at kilometer 31 of the Mexico-Pachuca highway in the State of Mexico.

By then, I was old enough and earning enough to at least rent a room in the city. Until then, my routine was always a two-hour commute—bus, metro, bus.

​

I first lived in an apartment in Condesa where they rented rooms to women. Wow—I felt like I was living the dream, even if it was a tiny room! Later, I moved to Ajusco with some incredible roommates who are still dear friends, and then to Pedregal with a well-known TV host who is now like a sister to me.

​

Anyway, back to the story. Pablo was a great boss, but as it often happens in this field, the projects ended. I found an opportunity in the entertainment section—never imagining it would become one of the most important chapters of my life. Not just for the professional growth, but also for the amazing friends I made and the beautiful experiences we shared. Picture it: we were all twenty-somethings full of dreams!

​

I started as a production assistant, but since I’m very proactive—or, let’s be honest, a bit nosy—I quickly took on roles in PR, sales creativity, reporting, voiceover, and eventually became information manager and investigative journalist.

​

I participated in various productions and pilots: Hitm3, Los 25 Más, Vidas al Límite, Hechos Espectáculos, La Academia 7, and special programs like Christmas and New Year’s. I had the good fortune of learning from and working with incredible professionals: my first boss Toño Hermida, then Laura Suárez, Rosario Murrieta, Chucho Cisneros, Rene Caballero, Alexis Lippert. The studio was directed by the renowned journalist Paty Chapoy.

​

It had always been my dream to pursue a master’s degree in Europe and explore the Old Continent, but my income just didn’t allow it. Doing what I loved wasn’t enough—until one day in late 2010, after life-changing experiences like surviving an accident and the passing of my beloved grandmother, I started applying for scholarships relentlessly. And I got one! Proof that if you believe and seek, you will find.

​

I went to live my dream in Madrid, Spain, in late 2011—Master’s in Audiovisual Journalism. It wasn’t easy. I took a big risk, arriving with barely enough money to survive the first two months. Still, it was one of the best experiences of my life.

​

Being in that kind of situation shows you what you're capable of—you discover strengths you never knew you had. I loved living on just a few euros a day!

​

But even so, God was looking after me. I lived in one of the best neighborhoods—Salamanca—and somehow, I saw and did everything I wanted. I worked doing all kinds of jobs: event hostess (called azafata in Spain), PR at a nightclub, nanny… and mostly, waitress and kitchen help at a Mexican bar in La Latina called La Morena.

​

Through a con artist (a story for another time), I met Televisa’s famous war correspondent Alberto Peláez and interned there. I learned so much!

​

I also interned at Telemadrid in the culture section as part of my master’s. Coverage ranged from reviewing a tapas restaurant to interviewing singers like Juanes or Justin Bieber.

​

And, as I said, I’m a bit of a go-getter—I worked as a correspondent for Azteca’s Ventaneando and Historias Engarzadas from Madrid and Barcelona. One unforgettable assignment (a story for later): covering the birth of Shakira’s baby. Sounds glamorous, but what you see on screen is nothing compared to the chaos behind it!

​

I returned to Mexico in 2013 and rejoined TV Azteca on the show Los del 7, produced by Ximena Wilkins and Aldo Lazcano. Unfortunately, it was soon taken off the air. But I thought: Why not chase another dream? Returning from Madrid had filled me with energy and courage to do anything. So I decided to study English in the U.S. and live there for a while. God gave me even more than I imagined.

 

My journey in Houston, Texas started in January 2014. All I had was payment from a special program I did for Laura, about the late singer Jenny Rivera. I lived with my aunt—no car, no nothing (which is essential in Houston). But they supported me in everything—I love them with all my heart.

 

Within two weeks, I joined a small TV station called Optima Televisión. I did everything—producing, writing, hosting. It was chaos, but I learned so much and had fun. I’ll always be grateful to Marlen Sarres. I know that finding a job in the U.S. doing what you love, officially and legally, is no easy feat. But it was a sign I was on the right path.

​

When that project ended, before returning to Mexico, I searched for another opportunity. The year flew by and I still didn’t speak English the way I wanted. That’s when I found NuCerity, a company that took me away from the media world full-time but gave me invaluable lessons and helped me grow professionally like never before.

​

I led Spanish-language communication and marketing. The company, led by American entrepreneurs and present in 17 countries, was a huge challenge—and that’s why I accepted. Even though my English wasn’t perfect, I didn’t let that stop me.

​

Imagine—after a lifetime in media, I was now in a corporate environment! But you should never close yourself off; always be open to learning new things, even if it feels like a detour.

​

It was two and a half years of traveling across Mexico, attending conferences in the U.S., working with distributors, organizing events, public speaking (it’s a network marketing company), social media, translations, communication concepts—I learned so much!

​

I took home incredible lessons from my bosses David Bain and Melissa Chambers, the founders Lonney McKinney and David Dillingham, and all my colleagues—each one taught me something valuable.

​

In terms of media, during my career I participated in radio and television programs; I worked as a voice-over artist, host, and correspondent for TV Azteca.

 

Later, from Houston, I contributed to the program Al Extremo with my dear friend Vero Palomares, and more recently in sports segments with my friend Paola Osorio. I also collaborated on a video blog called Somos Mexicanos por el Mundo, where I shared my experiences from the Space City.

​

After that, I was in charge of public relations, social media, and more for Exatec Houston (the Alumni Association of ITESM – Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education) and Bufete Internacional.

​

In 2020, I returned to Mexico and worked once again at TV Azteca on the program Al Extremo, where I fulfilled my dream of doing television journalism and presenting my stories live at a national level. I conducted interviews with people who did impactful, unique, or unusual things in entertainment, sports, politics, or show business, both nationally and internationally. I also covered events of major media interest or of benefit to the community, to ensure immediate and relevant dissemination.

​

Later on, I moved to Germany, where I spent a year studying the language up to C1 level.

I’m currently looking for new professional challenges where I can continue doing what makes me happiest: communication.
